EEP (European Breeding and Conservation Program)
Since 1985, breeding of endangered species is internationally coordinated by the European breeding and conservation program. Genetic criteria and guidelines for breeding and management support the efforts of the international zoo community to conserve the variety of animal species for our children.

Animals listed in the EEP and animals living in Salzburg Zoo are:
