Eurasia

Eurasia is the biggest, coherent land mass on our planet. It expands from the European continent to the pacific and from the southern Bering Ocean to Malaysia with a total area of 54 millions of square kilometres. Many animal species, especially in the north of Eurasia are closely related to the species of North America.

During the last Ice Age, Eurasia and America were united through a land bridge. It was only after the Ice Age that this bridge disappeared and that animal populations got separated. One example for this is a stag species: North America is the home of the Caribou, while the Reindeer lives in the north of Eurasia. Both of them belong to the same species.
